Could Investing In A New Build Curb Energy Bill Worries

Moving into an eco-friendly home could prove the long-term solution to addressing household energy bill worries.

A quarter of Brits claim they get stressed immediately before opening bills, new research by moneysupermarket.com shows, which is little surprise given the significant gas and electricity price increases recently.

Half of these respondents say that rising bills are the main reason for this 'bill phobia', so seeking ways to address increasing costs month-to-month could reduce stress.

There are also options for landlords to improve the energy efficiency of their housing stock, which could make their properties more attractive to tenants seeking lower energy bills.

A survey last month by the National Landlords Association indicated that two-thirds of private landlords would consider taking advantage of the governments Green Deal scheme to help improve energy efficiency.
