Online Searches On The Increase As Homebuyers Turn To The Web For Property

New research has revealed that one third of all homebuyers will begin their search for a new property online, reports email4property.co.uk, which now offers links to over two and a half thousand destinations across the UK.*

Since the beginning of the year, email4property has received over one million visitors to its website on average per month, all directed on to local agents and available property in their area of choice. Bristol has proved the most popular city with homebuyers, averaging 10,000 more searches a month than any other city.

As the largest network of local estate agent websites, email4property records online searches in the tens of thousands every month for each major British city, and these figures are continuing to increase as more and more homebuyers make the internet their first port of call when looking for a new home.

David Bexon, Managing Director of email4property comments: “These figures show the increasing popularity of online property searches. If nothing else, the internet allows prospective homebuyers to be surreptitious in their approach. It provides a way of determining what is available within their budget without having to directly register commitment with an estate agent face-to-face. This holds the same principle as our general preference to peruse items in a noncommittal way before making a purchase.”
