June Sees Highest Level Of Property For Sale In Two Years

The return of property for sale to the housing market has provided a welcome boost in confidence, according to the latest figures from the National Association of Estate Agents. In June, the amount of property for sale rose to its highest level in more than two years, with the average number of properties for sale per branch climbing from 68 to 74.

Wendy Evans-Scott, president of the NAEA, said the figures will be encouraging for house-hunters looking to make a property investment, particularly as the number of potential buyers actually dropped during June, meaning even more choice available.

"However, efforts are still required to assist those looking to get onto the housing ladder if we are to see buyer activity match that on the sale side," she added.
