NEW YEAR RESURGENCE FOR ONLINE HOME BUYERS
Email4property.co.uk, the largest online network of estate agents, has recorded a 52% increase in people looking to get in touch with their local agent, in the first two weeks of 2009.
Echoing reports of increased activity from estate agents across the country, the number of daily visitors to the Email4property website increased dramatically in early 2009, compared with figures recorded in the latter part of 2008, suggesting buyers may be slowly returning to the market.
Steven Lees, Head of Marketing for Email4property.co.uk, comments: “Confidence has reached a level where some buyers now see a real opportunity to re-enter the market. Prices have dropped sufficiently enough to test the resolve of buyers on the periphery of the market, and many now sense the time is right to secure a bargain.
“Last year we saw what can happen when consumers are handed a small fragment of good news in the current difficult climate, with interest on our site surging following the aggressive Bank of England rate cuts. Already this year, the affordability of mortgage rates being offered has improved, and the latest big money bail-out from the Treasury has brought forward a new wave of people who are seriously looking to buy.”
Email4property offers home buyers a direct link to the agents operating in their chosen area, as well as driving traffic to the agents’ local websites in thousands of destinations nationwide.
