Uk Property Website In Broadway Opening
Email4Property, the national network of property websites, this week launched its 1,500th locally focused website for Broadway in the Cotswolds.

“There was not the usual ‘song and dance’ associated with a Broadway opening, but it was a milestone nevertheless,” quipped Richard Simmons, the property developer who founded Email4Property four years ago.
Since the launch of the pilot site for Cambridge back in 2001, the Email4Property network has grown steadily building bespoke ‘estate agency websites’ for towns throughout the UK including 300 websites for local areas in Greater London. e.g. www.croydon-estateagents.co.uk.

Richard Simmons refers wryly to the Portals as the ‘supermarket sites’. When questioned he explained, “This is not just because they display properties of hundreds of different agents or ‘brands’. If individual agencies do not protect their own brands with the help of services such as Email4Property.co.uk, then in years to come they will find their plight similar to that of the local butcher and greengrocer. As a prime example, Rightmove is owned by Countrywide, who having just swallowed 300 Bradford and Bingley branches, now has over 1100 branches, it is not difficult to see the possible future dangers for agents who subscribe to Rightmove but maybe don’t also keep strong attention on promoting their own brand in their home town.”
According to recent surveys, over 70% of property hunters initiate their property search on the Internet, and so for the Internet user Email4Property simply displays the logo and web link of estate agents in a particular town. Users can click through to any agent to view the agents properties for sale or to let on the agents own website. The clever part however is that the user can send one email to all of the agents listed in a town, indicating the property hunter’s needs with just on simple action. This is a brilliant way to cover lots of ground quickly when trying to establish, for example, who has two bedroom flats to rent in the area in and around Clapham.
