House Prices & House Sales The Wetherby property market has remained robust, with the average house price increasing by 3.5%, between 2006 and 2007, and by over 150% since 2000. Sales were down 23.7% in 2007, although 2006 was a bumper year, with sale figures jumping more than 30% from 2005.

In 2007, Wetherby recorded its first ever £1m property sale – a detached house in Raby Park.

Summary The Wetherby property market has remained extremely robust, with Land Registry figures showing an increase of 3.5% in the average home price in 2007 and strong year-on-year growth each year since 2000 (155%).

Semi-detached homes led the way in 2007, with the average price up 17.6% on the previous year.

While the number of sales in Wetherby fell by 23.7% in 2007, transactions were still up by over 30% on figures for 2005. Demand for larger family housing has remained strong here, maintaining a good level of sales while keeping prices high.

Detached homes have consistently dominated the property mix in Wetherby, accounting for over 30% of all sales each year since 2000 - 37.1% in 2007.
